Privacy policy
This policy describes what Best Deal Health (bestdealhealth.com) collects when you visit, and what third parties collect as a result. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
What we collect directly
Nothing that identifies you, by default. There is no account system, no newsletter signup, and no comment form on this site. You can read everything here without giving us any personal information.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data: IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and response status. This is used for security and for diagnosing errors, and it is retained according to the host's standard policy.
Email. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to fix the thing you wrote about. We do not add you to a list.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
This site does not set first-party advertising cookies. It does not run a third-party ad network, and there is no retargeting pixel on these pages.
Affiliate cookies are set when you click an outbound affiliate link. The retailer or the affiliate network sets that cookie, not us. Its purpose is to record that the visit came from this site so a later purchase can be attributed. Cookie lifetimes vary by retailer and are listed in each program's terms; they range from a few hours to several months.
You can block these. Any content blocker or a browser setting that restricts third-party cookies will prevent attribution. Nothing on this site stops working if you do that. You will simply arrive at the retailer without our referral attached, and we will not be paid if you buy.
Third parties
- Hosting and CDN. Serves the pages and records request logs.
- Affiliate networks. Receive a click identifier when you follow an affiliate link, so a purchase can be attributed.
- Retailers. Once you leave this site, the retailer's own privacy policy applies to everything that happens on their site, including your order and payment details. We never see your payment information.
We do not sell personal information. We have no personal information about you to sell.
Analytics
This site does not currently run a third-party analytics product that profiles individual visitors. If aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics are added later, this section will be updated before they go live and the "last updated" date above will change.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not collect identifying information by default, there is usually nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence and we will, unless we need it to resolve an ongoing dispute.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what is collected and the right to opt out of certain sharing. Requests can be sent to editor@bestdealhealth.com. Note that affiliate attribution is carried out by the retailer and the network, not by us; opting out of it is done through your browser or a content blocker, as described above.
Children
This site is written for adults managing household purchases. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. There is no database of user records to breach, which is the main security benefit of running a static site with no accounts.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the change is described here rather than made silently.
